Frank Ocean stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight with his unofficial debut album, Nostalgia, Ultra, which he released via his Tumblr page in February 2011. Now, one year later, the Odd Future member is facing legal issues over the sample on his single ?American Wedding.? The fan favorite was sampled from the Eagles? 1977 hit single ?Hotel California,? and now Eagles founding member Don Henley is threatening legal action over the sample, which was never cleared.
Ocean revealed the news, as usual, via his Tumblr account, writing, "Don Henley is apparently intimidated by my rendition of Hotel California?? The good news is that the 24-year-old doesn?t seem to be too worried about the sample issue, adding, ?He threatened to sue if I perform it again. I think that?s f---in awesome."

Ocean is currently at work on his official debut album, set to be released via Def Jam this year. In the meantime, he?ll appear alongside the rest of Odd Future on the group?s upcoming album The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2, which will debut on March 20, five days before their sketch comedy show ?Loiter Squad? premieres March 25 on Adult Swim.
Frank Ocean is also set to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
